“My relationship with my family is still good and loving, I hope that they feel the same way.”
Family is at the heart of Elaine’s life.
Born to loving parents and forever with the company of her sister, Elaine was never prepared for the challenges her life would become fraught with.
School: quiet, shy, “I was bullied.” There was no respite for Elaine throughout the entirety of her time in education.

Leaving with 5 CSE’s in: maths, history, typing, accounts, and commerce; Elaine found herself with only a couple of friendly faces she can remember from those days.
Fiercely loyal, Elaine spent her entire working life at one company, R.G Brown’s.
Although her place of work did not change, her role within the company did several times her 14 years with them; Elaine started as on the Test Certificate desk, “after a couple of years I was promoted to stock control supervisor and assistant buyer.
“I was in the job a couple of years before I finished, I was promoted/transferred to sales.”
Made redundant and feeling lost without any time for meaningful family time, Elaine stopped working to become a housewife, “the change was completely different.”
Still not satisfied, the family expanded by adding a Springer Spaniel (Chip) and a baby (Johnathan).
Elaine’s fairytale life was then attacked by a very harsh reality when she developed degenerate disc disorder which started a sudden downturn in her health with other conditions that still plague her.
Today: Elaine enjoys crafting cards, caring for Sam (their second Springer Spaniel), her husband, and son.
